Summer is over in our corner of the world and I’m glad. After Labor Day there seems to be a universal shift toward fun fall activities. Our little town has the annual White River Valley Antique Tractor Show, a 3-day ode to the ways of yesteryear that is a big draw with people coming from all over the country.
It is also the start of various festivals. We were invited to a new one this year that was held in nearby rural Montgomery, Indiana. The Wilson family held the first, and I hope annual, Chandelier Barn Market, a two-day event whose star was a beautifully appointed barn with a stunning chandelier sparkling through the door of the hayloft. Vendors from across the area showcased their wares in the barn and various outbuildings on the property. Jack and I went Saturday and had a lovely time. I came away with a few goodies and some great ideas for future projects.
Yesterday was a beautiful day. Cooler with a nice breeze. Perfect for outdoor projects. We (and when I say we I mean Jack) pulled weeds, I planted some plants that had been waiting for cooler weather, we futzed and putzed and came in hot, dirty and tired but grateful for the beautiful day.
I hope your weekend was everything you hoped it would be. Here’s wishing you a wonderful week!
Sending love and light your way,
Dana

We did, Eliza, thank you! But the cheesecake on a stick vendor was gone. Must have run out of cheescake or sticks. I was sad but my hips were not!
