I wanted to keep the cost very budget friendly…as in next to nothing. You ask, “Dana, you must have shloads of creativity brewing in there?” YES, I DO!!
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his room started out as our daughter, Lauren’s room. She was 13 when we moved here and we decorated it for her. It stayed girly until Lauren graduated with her Masters Degree from Indiana State University (Go Sycamores!) and got a great job with the Park and Recreation Department in Clarksville, TN. Then the room went to child #3, Lance, who was in Junior High. The walls were white so we took down the girly border and he was happy for a time. Then came the dark, sapphire blue. He was so proud to have painted it himself and he did a great job, especially for his first time at bat. And so it remained until now. Lance is graduating from the University of Southern Indiana in a week (Go Eagles!) and has made Evansville his home. So now the unclaimed room is mine. It’s a great room with tons of natural light with west-facing windows on the second floor. It looks out over trees and I refer to it as my tree house. There is a small, attached bathroom as a bonus.
This is where we began.
Until later, friends!
Sending love and light your way,
Dana
